po/?/il T. M. (C. puḷil sand-bank in rivers). 1. Watered ground. പൂവാര്‍ പൊ. RC. a flower-garden. കുളുര്‍ പൊഴില്‍ ചൂഴില ങ്കനകര്‍, അണിപൊഴില്‍ ചൂഴിലങ്കമന്നാ RC. sandy shore (or ocean? in a. T. world). 2. a piece of low ground പൊയിലില്‍ അരിയുന്ന തീയന്‍ TP.; also പൊയിലിന്‍ പാടു, പൊയിലു ന്പാടു (So. പുകില്‍), പൊയിലില്‍ തൊടിക MR.

= പൊത്തു (C. bōdu). A hole as in worm-eaten wood; പാന്പിന്‍റെ പോതില്‍ Is. 11, 8; പോതുളളതു V2. concave. — (see പോടു).

piččụ T. M. C. Te. (Tdbh. of പിത്തം) Madness പി. പിടിക്ക, കൊള്‍ക to go mad. പോയുംപിച്ചും പറക V2. to be delirious, so പി ച്ചുംപിഴയും or പിച്ചും ഭ്രാന്തും No., also to talk nonsense. പിച്ചല്ല Bhr. quite correct. കഴുകും പേയും പിച്ചേറിപ്പകുക്കും RC. furiously. പിച്ചന്‍ a mad man. പിച്ചുഭാവം weakness of intellect, dotage (senilitly). പിച്ചുസ്വരം an inarticulate sound.

paṇḍụ T. M. (√ പഴ Te. paṇḍu to ripen, be accomplished) Antiquity. — പണ്ടു കീ ഴേ or പ. കഴിഞ്ഞതും പടയില്‍ ചത്തതും പറയേ ണ്ടാ No. — പണ്ടേ adv. ഈ മര്യാദ പണ്ടു പണ്ടേ

panthā (vu.) S. Nom. of പഥ് Road, പന്ഥാവിലാക്കുവന്‍ KR. = വഴിയില്‍. പന്ഥാനം (C. road) the whole household, wife & children പ'ങ്ങള്‍, പ'നക്കെട്ടു, പ'ന ക്കോപ്പു.

puna T. aM. aC. Contact (= പൂണ്‍, പുണര്‍). പുനയുക 1. to put on = അണിയുക f. i. കുറി പുനന്തു Mantr. (= തേച്ചു). 2. to copulate So. B. 3. aM. to undertake കരുതിമായ പുനെന്താന്‍, വെററിവരും എന്നടല്‍ പു. RC 37. ഇകല്‍ പുനവോളം etc. VN. പുനച്ചല്‍ copulation B. (= പുണര്‍ച്ച).

pišaṇġam S. (√ പിശ് to adorn). Tawny. പിശാകരി (P. pēč?) A screw, also വിശാവരി TR. q. v.

pāḍalam S. (പടലം). pale red, pink colour. പാടലാധരികുലമൌലി Bhr. with fine lips. പാടലി S. the trumpet-flower, (= പാതിരി).

po/?/i T. M. (C. hoyyu & pūyu, Te. hōyu). 1. Pouring, shower രണ്ടു മുകില്‍ മല മീതു പൊഴി പൊരും മഴ പോലേ RC. vying in pouring. 2. a groove, as in door-frames; seed-bed, or division of such (പൊഴില്‍); a hole, outlet of a river into the sea. പൊഴി ഇ ടുക, വീഴുക B. പൊഴിക്കൂട്ടം N. pr. Kulašēkhara's residence. ഭഗവതിയുടെ വിലാസം പൊഴിയുന്നവിടേ KU. പൊഴിയുക 1. v. n.
