Kinds: കരിഞ്ചീ black Cumin, Nigella sativa GP., കാട്ടു — Vernonia anthelmintica, നല്ല — white Cumin V1., പെരിഞ്ചി — sweet fennel, Anethum foeniculum, വലിയ ചീ. etc. ചീരകച്ചന്പാവു a superior rice; also ചീരച്ച ന്പാന്‍ M. (vu. ചീരോച്ച — No., ചീരോത്തരി its rice).
