čoṭṭu T.M. 1. A slap on the head ചൊ. കൊണ്ടാലും prov. — met. തലെക്ക ഒരു ചൊ. disappointment; ചൊട്ടുപിണഞ്ഞു, ഒരു ചൊ. കിഴിഞ്ഞു (superst.) a curse, disease, etc. has alighted on him. 2. = പൊട്ടു mark on the forehead with Sandal paste etc. ചൊട്ടുതൊടുക = തൊട്ടുകുറി; kinds ഇരുവയിനാടന്‍ ചൊ.
