puṭṭil 1. T. Te. C. a basket, (paper- basket, Tell.); M. A thick mat serving as receptacle or covering of the body. നീ കൂട പോ രുകില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു പു. (or പുട്ടിലം) ഉണ്ടു V1. we are safe. 2. husk, pod, legume = പിട്ടല്‍ (V2. പൊട്ടല്‍) as കിലുക്കാന്പു. 3. ears of corn just before shooting forth, നെല്ലു പൊ ട്ടില്‍പ്രായം a stage of rice growing. 4. തവള പ്പുട്ടില്‍ No. vu. = മിട്ടില്‍. പുട്ടു No. vu. = പിട്ടു.

putraǹ S. (see പുതു; C. to be born, also പുട്ടുക C.) A son. pl. പുത്രന്മാര്‍ children. പുത്രകന്‍ S. (dimin.) dear child. പു'ന്മാര്‍ Nal. vaṇḍụ T. M. aC. (വള്‍ round or whirling). 1.
