ābharaṇam S. nakham S. 1. A nail (L. unguis, G. onyx). കാല്‍ന. കൊണ്ടു നിലത്തു വരെച്ചു CG. (sign of perplexity). കുഴിനഖം panaritium. നഖശിഖരം CC. the point of a nail. നഖശിഖ പര്യന്തം from top to toe. നഖം നീട്ടുക, വളര്‍ക്ക Anach. to let the nails grow, as ascetics. 2. a claw നരി ന. പതിനെട്ടും MR. 3. the point of an arrow കൂത്തുള്ള ശരന. കൊണ്ടു കീറി KR. നഖച്ചുററു a disease round the nails, also വിരല്‍ച്ചുററു. = കുഴിനഖം 1 & p. 280. നഖരം S. clawlike; a claw നഖരതുണ്ഡങ്ങ ളാല്‍ കീറി AR. നഖി 1. a perfume = ശൂക്തി, മുറള്‍. 2. having nails or claws.

pūnduγa So. (fr. പൂഴു). To sink in the ground, വിശിഖം പൂന്തി ChS. പൂത്തു, കുഴിപ്പൂത്തു So. a grave. v. a. പൂത്തുക (പൂഴ്ത്തുക) 1. to press into ചവിട്ടിച്ചളി യില്‍ പൂത്തും MR. (a threat). മുട്ട എഴു തി നെല്ലില്‍ പൂ a kind of charm; suspected persons must take a certain egg out of a heap of rice, when the thief will be detected. ചക്രം എഴുതി ധനുമ്മേല്‍ പൂത്തേക്ക Mantr. തീയില്‍കൊണ്ട കായി പൂത്തി (to cook it). 2. to bury ശവം എത്ര ആഴം കുഴിച്ചിട്ടു പൂ ത്തിയതു jud. — also met. നേരിനേ പൂത്തു, ക ളവു പൂത്തു (vu. — ത്തി) പറഞ്ഞു = മറെച്ചു.
