asāram S. 1. Sapless, worthless. താന്‍ മരിച്ച് ഒരുത്തനെ രക്ഷിക്കാം അസാ രനും Bhr. even a mean person. അസാരനെ പോലെ കിടന്നുഴലുന്നു KR. like an imbecile. അസാരവൃത്തി അവന് ഇല്ല KR. no meanness about him. 2. M. little, trifle. അസാരമേ ഉ ള്ളു; അസാരം കുറയഭ്രമമായി TR. was somewhat deranged, പണം അസാരസാരം വാങ്ങി TR. by little = അസാരിച്ച.

a 5. pron. That, yonder. (The corresponding pron. signifies this, as in അത്: അത്.) Hence: അവന്‍‍, അത്; അക്കര, അപ്പുറം, അപ്പോലെ (and അതുപോലെ). Before vowels അയ്യാള്‍ that man, അവ്വിടം that place. It is also used for the second person as അദ്ദേഹം that person, you (comp. അങ്ങു). II.

aγāraṇam S. What is without cause; അകാരണമായിട്ടു തളര്‍ച്ച Asht. (= അക സ്മാല്‍) അകാരണമായി ദ്വേഷ്യപ്പെട്ടു unprovokedly. അകാര്യം S. not to be done.

anēγam S. More than one, many. അനേകധാ, അനേക വിധം manyfold. അനേ കം അന്യേ മമ വീടു പുക്കാന്‍ CCh. quite alone. അനേകായിരം Bhr. many thousands. അനേ കം അനേകം രാജാക്കന്മാര്‍ KU. വീരര്‍ അനേ കം പായന്താര്‍ RC. plur. അനേകര്‍ many persons.

avayavam S. Member കരചര ണാദ്യവയവം VilvP. അവയവസംഗം contact with another body = അംഗസംഗം. അവയവി body. അവയവവും അവയവിയും fractions & units Gan. (നെല്ല് is അവയവി, ഉമിയും അരിയും അവയവങ്ങള്‍, for നെ ല്ലിന്നു ന്പ ഉമി വ അരി.)
