T. M. āyini (T. ആചിനി core of tree) = ആഞ്ഞലി Artocarpus pubescens or hirsuta, a strong timber, കാട്ടുപിലാവ്. പുളിയായിനി Webera corym bosa (its fruit കാ ട്ടുചക്ക.) ആയിനിപ്പാട് 1. a mode of dunning, (prh. by sitting on a plank of Artocarpus wood, or from ആനൃം ?) ആയിനി വിളന്പുക to pay the expense of it. 2. meal given to bridegroom by bride's mother on marriage day (= പാച്ചോറു No.)

eirāṇi (T. C. Tu. from S. ഐരാ വണി = ഇന്ദ്രാണി) A plant, കതളി; also = കാ ട്ടുകുരുന്നു Trichilia spinosa; also = കാട്ടുപിണ്ണാക്കു. ഐരാണിക്കൂടു, -ക്കുട, -ക്കോടു N. pr. a grāmam once representing one of the 4 Brahmanical divisions (see കഴകം) KU.

paṭṭi 1. (T. loose condition, prostitute, fr. പടു). Miserable, പട്ടിക്കുതിരകള്‍കൊണ്ടു വന്നു കെട്ടി Nal. vicious. പട്ടിമാടു useless cattle (abuse). 2. (T. പാട്ടി) a bitch ഊര്‍പട്ടി; dog in general ആണ്പടി Vl. കുരെക്കും പ. കടിയാ prov. (hence in So. the fem. പട്ടിച്ചി). 3. T. M. C. a fold for cattle, sheep. പട്ടികെട്ടുക (on the open field). ആട്ടിന്‍പട്ടി a sheep-pen on high pillars (Palg.); place where slaves stand to receive their hire. 4. Palg. N. pr. m., — വേലന്‍. പട്ടിക്കാടു N. pr. a place between Trichoor & Palg. പട്ടിക്കാട്ടിലേ നായി ( = കാട്ടുപട്ടി = പു ലി) കടിച്ചിട്ടു വീട്ടിലേ നായേ തല്ലുന്നത് prov. പട്ടിക്കൂട്ടം V1. a litter of pups. പട്ടിച്ചാല്‍ working a ricefield after manuring with leaves & preparing the squares. പട്ടിച്ചെവി Acrostichonarifolium, Rh. പട്ടിപ്പടി the gate of a fold. പട്ടിപുലി a small leopard.

piṇyāγam S. (see foll.) An oil-cake ബദരമിശ്രമായിരിക്കും ഇംഗുദീതരുപി. ഉരുട്ടി പിതാവിനു പിണ്ഡം കഴിച്ചു KR. പിണ്ണാക്ക T. M., vu. പു —, (പിണ്ഡം) cakes of beaten seeds, oil-cake (എള്‍ — തേങ്ങാപ്പി ണ്ണാക്കിന്നു പ്രിയം വലിപ്പിക്ക prov.). പി'൦ കൂത്തും ഒപ്പം prov. മരത്തിന്‍ പി'൦ ഉരുട്ടി പിണ്ഡവും കഴിച്ചു KR. കാട്ടുപിണ്ണാക്കു a plant (= ഐരാണി).
