(T. ചിണുക്കു) To scratch, stir കുപ്പ ചിനക്കിയാല്‍ ഓട്ടക്കലം prov ചിനക്കു a bit; a scratch. ചിനങ്ങുക 1. to be scratched B. 2. to be touchy (T. ചിണങ്ങുക to whine, whimper), to repine, = പിതുക്കുക; a child, that cries at the slightest touch is called തൊട്ടാല്‍ ചിന ങ്ങി. ചിനിങ്ങിക്കരക to whine, whimper. No. (comp. ചിനിക്ക). 3. (= T. ചിണുങ്ങുക to rain slightly, to drizzle). ചിങ്ങഞ്ഞാററില്‍ ചിനി ങ്ങിച്ചിനങ്ങി prov. = ൦രംറന്‍ മഴ, it drizzles only. ചിനിങ്ങിയ മഴ = ചനുചനേ. ചിനുങ്ങികള്‍ (2) No. touchy people = തൊട്ടാല്‍ വാടികള്‍.

činakkuγa (C. ജിനുഗു, Te. സണുഗു) 1. To mutter, neigh. തൊണ്ട ചിന ക്കി hemmed. ചിനക്കിയിട്ടുപോയി food ejected by the irritation of the wind-pipe. 2. to cry ho! as at certain festivals (in സങ്കേതം). 3. No. പുലയര്‍, നായര്‍ etc. ചിനെക്ക = ഒച്ച കാട്ടുക uttering a warning cry to avoid pollution (Pulayars crying ഏയാ No., ഹോആ So.; higher castes ഹഹാ, ഹൂഹാ, ഹോഹോ etc.) II.
