pōγaḍam Tdbh. of ഭോഗം + കടം (C. pogadi, tribute? or fr. പോക?). The rent or tribute due to the Janmi on the tenure of കുടുമനീര്‍, gen. called ദേശപോകടം (ജന്മ ഭോഗം ദേശപോകടം തുടങ്ങിയുളളവ VyM.) f. i. പത്തു തേങ്ങയും ഒരു ചക്കയും കുലയടക്കയും ദേശപോടകനു (പോഷകന്‍?) തട്ടും തയിരും ഇങ്ങനേ ദേശപോകടങ്ങള്‍ എന്നറിക KU.; നി ലം വാങ്ങി ൩ കൊല്ലമായി സ്വന്തമായി നടന്നു പോകടങ്ങള്‍ കൊടുത്തുവരിക, നികിതി പോ' ങ്ങളും കഴിപ്പാന്‍ MR.

Nourishing, sustenance. എന്തിനി പോ. വേണ്ടതു KR. refreshment. denV. പോഷിക്ക 1. v. n. to thrive അവന്‍ ന ന്നായി പോഷിച്ചു; to be full പോ'ച്ചിതാകാ ശം വിമാനങ്ങളാല്‍ Bhr. 2. v. a. to nourish, support കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ പോഷിച്ചു Arb.
