ōččar (T. a Kali worshipper C. Tu. = ഒത്തന്‍ Beng. ഒഝ snake-catcher) A class of Mārān Sūdras, who beat the drum in temples (മദ്ദളം കൊട്ടല്‍, കുഴല്‍ വിളിക്ക) fr. ഓച ? T. ഓച്ചല്‍ to drive away.

ōl = അവര്‍, ഓര്‍, in വാഴുന്നോല്‍, മൂത്തോല്‍.

ōγụ ഓവു (T. ഓ, prh. from ഒഴ്കു) 1. Floodgate, sluice, drain PT. 2. = ഓക f. i. ഓകി ല്ലാത്ത നെല്ല്, ഓകുള്ള നെല്ലു CS.

ōγa, ഓക്ക (C. ഒഗഡു, ഗൂഗു) Awn, beard of some grains = ശൂകം.

ōḍu 1. (ഒടിയുക) Potsherd, tile, കൊക്കോടു small flat tile. ചീപ്പോടു id. without a point; മാടോടു, പാത്തിയോടു hollow tile. തലയോടു skull. ഓട്ഇടുക, മെയുക to tile. ഓടുകഴിക്ക No. = തേങ്ങ ചിരട്ടയില്‍നിന്നു അടര്‍ത്തുക. 2. shell ആമയോടു; rind of fruits പുഴുങ്ങി ഓടു കഴിച്ചു കളക a med. 3. M. beilmetal (2½ parts zinc, 10 copper) ഓടുവാര്‍ക്ക etc. വെള്ളോടു, കാരോടു. ഓടുരുക്കിയമൂശാരിയെപോലെ prov. 4. T.M. (ഒടു) being alongside, with തൂണോടു കെട്ടി TP.; = ഊടെ f.i. ഉഭയ മാര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തോടേ അയച്ചു TR. through the ricefields. കടലോടു പോയി; in fixing boundaries: X ഓടു Y ഓടു Z ഓട് ഇടയിലുള്ള നാടു KU.; in comp. എന്തവരോടു നിങ്ങള്‍? കടലോട് ഒരു കൂപം po.—a Loc. നായരോടത്ത് ആളെ അയച്ചു to the N. ആളോ ടത്തും അന്യായ സങ്കടം എഴുതിവെച്ചു TR.— adv. ഓടേ as സുഖമോടേ,—ത്തോടേ happily. KU. ഓട്ടട, ഓട്ടപ്പം (1) pancake. ഓട്ടുകലം,— പാത്രം (3) vessel of bellmetal. ഓട്ടുപണിക്കാരന്‍ (3) = മൂശാരി. ഓട്ടുപുര (1) tiled roof (opp. ഓലപ്പുര).
