čeriyuγa = ചരിയുക 2. To turn, bow എടത്തെനക്കൊള്ളേ ചെരിഞ്ഞും കോളേ TP.; to be bent താടി കോടി ചെരിഞ്ഞു പോം Nid. distorted jaw; to recline. ചെരിക്ക = ചരിക്ക II. to bend. അടക്ക ചെരിച്ചു chewing Arecanut has intoxicated him (see also ചൊരുക്ക). ചെരിച്ചു കെട്ടുക to build a veranda, to add a thatch to the house. VN. ചെരിവു = ചരിവു inclination കഴുക്കോല്‍ ചെ., വളത്തുളയുടെ ചെ.. Gan. (in geometry). ചെരിക്കല്‍ V2. dizziness = തല തിരിക (see ചൊരുക്ക).

S.čēδōġaδi (ചേതസ്സ്) Thought, wish. Brhmd. ചേതോഹരം ravishing the mind, delightful (= മനോഹരം) ചേ. വാചകം Nal. ചേ' രാംഗി Bhr. — മകളര്‍ ചേതോഹാരിണിക ളായറുപതു Bhr.

(C. സാദു) Compound ointment of sandal, camphor, musk & saffron (= കുറി ക്കൂട്ടു). ചാന്തും ചന്ദനവും ഒരു പോലെ prov. ചെ ഞ്ചാന്തു a turmeric mixture. അരിച്ചാന്തു white paint of rice = അരിയന്‍ ചാന്ത്. ചാന്തേലും കൊ ങ്ക CG. ചാന്തും മോന്തും prov. finery. 2. cement of fine lime; also tar B. നിലച്ചാന്തെടുത്തുപൊട്ടു തൊടുക fine clay. ചാന്തായി അരെക്കുക to grind like fine mortar. 3. N. pr. of men. ചാന്താട്ടം So. plastering with fine mortar. ചാന്തുകുറികള്‍, ചാന്തുചൂടും Anj. čēḍi (T. ചേടു beauty, fr. ചെവ്.) M. C. A glutinous earth, put on walls to keep off the rain, esp. red. ചേടിമണ്ണു; ചുകന്ന ചേടി ക്കല്ലും a med.

čēṇi T. M. (Tdbh., ശ്രേണി) 1. Ladder, ഏണി. 2. (So. ചകിണി) the layers of fibres enclosing the flesh of the jackfruit. ചേണിച്ചേരി N. pr. the hereditary Kārisam over the northern part of Kōlanāḍu KU. ചേണിമാര്‍ SiPu. = ചേണിച്ചികള്‍ see foll.

čūṇḍuγa. (fr. ചുണ്ടു & ചീണ്ടുക; Te. C. ചൂടി aim, Te. ചൂപു to see) 1. To point at, to aim എന്മുഖം തന്നിലേ ചൂണ്ടിച്ചൂണ്ടി CG. അ മാത്യന്‍ അതാ പോകുന്നു എന്നു ചൂണ്ടി Mud. beckoned. ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിക്കൊടുത്താര്‍ Bhr. pointed out. ചൂണ്ടിച്ചൂണ്ടിപ്പറഞ്ഞു alluded, hit with words. 2. to shoot with a cross-bow, to catch fish V1.
