A roll; as of tobacco, 'cheroot.' 2. a sheaf എണ്ണച്ചു. sheaves given to temples in lieu of payment. — (1 ചുരുട്ടു = 3 കൈപ്പിടി). ചുരുട്ടത്തല So. curled hair. ചുരുട്ടപ്പാന്പു a small venomous snake coiled up in dry spray (= ചേരട്ട). ചുരുട്ടപ്പം biscuit. ചുരുട്ടുക v. a. to roll up; മുഷ്ടി ചു. A slap on the head ചൊ. കൊണ്ടാലും prov. — met. തലെക്ക ഒരു ചൊ. disappointment; ചൊട്ടുപിണഞ്ഞു, ഒരു ചൊ. കിഴിഞ്ഞു (superst.) a curse, disease, etc. has alighted on him. 2. = പൊട്ടു mark on the forehead with Sandal paste etc. ചൊട്ടുതൊടുക = തൊട്ടുകുറി; kinds ഇരുവയിനാടന്‍ ചൊ. TP. etc. Hence: ചൊട്ടുകത്തി Mpl. = ചൊട്ടവാള്‍. ചൊട്ടുക (C. സൊണ, T. So. to drop, rain) 1.
