(തായ്) to fondle, play. തായാട്ടം mischief, plunder, destruction of an enemy's garden, etc. തല്ലും താ'വും പറകV1. to talk threateningly in jest, to speak nonsense. തായാട്ടു presumption, spite; ill-turn. താ. കാട്ടു ന്ന ശിശുക്കളെത്താന്‍ താഡിച്ചു ശിക്ഷിച്ചു വ ളര്‍ക്ക വേണം CC. insolent children.

ter̀ukka (T. to bruise) 1. v. a. To pull up the cloth, as when wading (തെരുക്ക); to roll up തിരി തെ. Tantr.; അരുവു തെറുത്തു കുത്തു ക V2. to hem; to stop water-courses. 2. v. n. (T. തെറുക) water to stand, to be dammed up. തെറുത്തു നോക്ക to fix one with the eye. തേരട്ട തെറുത്തു കിടക്ക MC. lies rolled up. CV. തെറുപ്പിക്ക to enclose water by dykes (= ചെറുക്ക). തെറുതെറുപ്പു = തെരുതെരുപ്പു (loc.)
