tarabaṇyam S. (തരണം) Freight, fare (ആതരം).

tānam 1. S. (തന്‍, G. tonos) A keynote. താ. പാടുക = വഴിപ്പാട്ടുപാടുക & താച്ചു പാടുക. 2. Tdbh. ദാനം f. i. താ. കഴിക്ക to do penance. 3. Tdbh.; സ്ഥാനം rank, position, താ. കളക to lose credit, താ. പറക to speak with a feeling of one's importance, താ. വരുത്തുക to take revenge, താനമാനം അറിക to be wellbred V1. 2. താനക്കിഴി an offering in a small bag, presented at a temple (സ്ഥാനം).

tirikka 5. (തെ —) 1. v. a. To turn round, തേര്‍ തിരിച്ചു or പിന്തി. Bhr. ധാന്യ ങ്ങള്‍ തിരിക്കുന്ന പശുക്കള്‍ Bhg. grinding or treading out by moving in a circle; to turn ഓല തിരിച്ചും മറിച്ചും നോക്കി, തലമുടി രണ്ടു പുറവും തിരിച്ചു കെട്ടാം prov. കെട്ടിത്തിരിക്ക to tighten a fastening with a stick. 2. to turn the course. ആറു തി. to change, alter. നികിതിജമ എന്‍റെ പേരില്‍നിന്നു കണ്ണന്‍റെ പേരില്‍തിരിച്ചു കെട്ടുവാന്‍ (rev.) MR. to transfer the registration; also to translate. 3. to separate, sort കല്ലും നെല്ലും തിരിച്ചു താ met. tell me what is good & evil. നാടു ഖണ്ഡിച്ചു തിരിച്ചു തിരിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു KU. distributed. വേര്‍ത്തിരിക്ക, തരം തി., കൈതവം നേരും തി. ച്ചീടുവാന്‍ Sah. to distinguish, discern. ഗുണവും ദോഷവും തി., തിരിച്ചു വിധിക്ക V2. to judge. 4. to make known. അര്‍ത്ഥം തി. to explain. നിന്‍ മഹിമ ആര്‍ക്കും തി'രുതു HNK. ആ കാ൪യ്യത്തിന്നു തിരിച്ച കല്പന വരേണം TR. an express order. ആളെത്തിരിച്ചു പറയരുതോ TP. tell your name! തി'ച്ചെഴുതുക TR. to write expressly. 5. v. n. to return തന്നുടെ രാജ്യത്തിന്നു തിരിച്ചു Brhmd. (prh. to supply തേരിനെ). അയോദ്ധ്യെ ക്കാമാറു തി. AR.; തരസാതിരിക്കും CC.; ചത്തു മുറിഞ്ഞും ഒട്ടൊട്ടു തി'യും Mud. to retreat. പറ ക്കുന്ന പോലേ തിരിക്കും തേര്‍ KR. rolling or retiring. ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മണ്ടിത്തിരിക്കുന്നു Nal. to err about. സൈന്യം തി'ച്ചു മണ്ടിനാര്‍ Bhr. fled. Hence: തിരിച്ചറിവു (3) full, distinct knowledge, so തിരിച്ചുകാണ്ക. തിരിച്ചു കൊടുക്ക (3) to set apart. ഉമ്മയുടെ ഓ ഹരിക്കായി തി'ത്തു MR. gave back. തിരിച്ചുപറക (3) to speak distinctly; to repeat; to particularize each case (4), so തിരിച്ചെഴു തുക. തിരിച്ചു പോക, വരിക (5) to return. തിരിച്ചു വെക്ക (2) to alter, as a resolution മന്ത്രി കള്‍ കൂടി നിരൂപിച്ച കാ൪യ്യം തി'ക്കുന്പോള്‍ KR.; (3) to assign to തറവാട്ടോഹരിക്കു തി' ച്ചു jud. III. തിരിപ്പു turning, change. തി'൦ മറിപ്പുംപ റക subterfuges & lies, unfair dealings. അ വര്‍ക്കു തമ്മില്‍ തിരിപ്പില്ല VyM. തിരിപ്പടി എടുക്ക B. to deceive. തിരിപ്പന്‍ 1. a rogue = തികഞ്ഞവന്‍. 2. a wig. CV. തിരിപ്പിക്ക to make to turn or distinguish.

tailam S. (തിലം) 1. Sesam-oil, തില ത്തിലേത്തൈലം GP. 2. oil, medic, oil. തൈലക്കാരന്‍ an apothecary. തൈലധാര constant dripping of oil (med.).

tōra l. = തുവര Sk. 2. = കൈമുണ്ടു A cloth over the privities; also തോരന്‍ (which is likewise a cloth with colored streaks V2.); തോര ക്കോണം a distinct kind of such (തോരുക).

tōḷ T. M. Shoulder, Te. Tu. C. No. the arm, upper arm (prh. Tdbh., ദോഷന്‍ S. = ദോസ്സ്) വടികള്‍ തോളോളം നീളം ഉണ്ടു MR. തോളില്‍ ചുമക്ക (= ചുമല്‍), എന്നേ തോളില്‍ എടുക്ക Sil. തോളില്‍ തോക്കും വെച്ചു TR. വില്ലു വലന്തോ ളില്‍ വെച്ചു KR. തോളുഭു = Skanda, shoulder-born. Sk. തോളെല്ലു the collar-bone. തോള്‍ക്കെട്ടു a shoulder-joint വില്ലുധരിച്ചു തോ. മുറുക്കി KR. (also തോള്‍പൂട്ടു). തോള്‍പ്പലക the shoulder-blade തോ. മേല്‍ MM. തോള്‍മാല (— ണ്മ —) an ornamental chain worn around the neck & reaching to the breast. തോള്‍മാററം removing a burden from one shoulder to the other. തോള്‍വള a braoelet for the upper arm.
