pāyal So. & പായില്‍, പായി (T. പാചി fr. പചു green; rather C. Te. pāču, pāṇču to spread [old: prāṇču] hence C. pāču, Tu. pāse, Te. pāṇči). Green stuff on stagnant pools; duck-weed (ചമ്മി), green mouldiness on walls. — Kinds: ഊര്‍പ്പായി on tanks, Pontederia vaginalis, (ഊര്‍പ്പശിക്കാവു near Tell.) എണ്ണപ്പാ. Rh. pa/?/ukka, So. — ക്കാ (see foil. T; പഴു rib, ladder-step). 1.
