pūṇuγa T. M. C. (Te. pūḍu, see പു ണര്‍). 1. v. n. peṭṭu 1. adv. part. (പെടുക). Getting into a direction, towards കീഴപെട്ടു തല്ലുവാന്‍ ഓങ്ങി യ നേരത്തു മേല്പെട്ടു പോയതു CG.; often വട്ടു, ഓട്ടു & treated as a noun, f. i. തെക്കോട്ടേക്ക് ഒഴുകും Bhg. 2. പെട്ടെന്നു പെട്ടന്നു suddenly, unexpectedly: either like the sound of having fallen, or from C. Te. Tu. പെട്ടു a blow, slap (in T. വെട്ടന violently).

paḍiγa A river-fish.

piṇḍi T. M. Te. C. (Tu. puṇḍi, see പിണ്ഡം) 1. What is squeezed, wrung out, dregs, refuse, sediment. 2. elephant's dung ആനപ്പി. (V1. പിണ്ടം). 3. വാഴപ്പി. a plantain stem, used as mark for arrows. 4. So. a large bamboo V1.; (B. raft = പാണ്ടി?) പിണ്ടിക്ക(ായി) the wild nutmeg. പിണ്ടിപാലം RC. see ഭി —.

pēṇuγa T.aM. (Te. penčcu). To foster, take care of ഐയം ഇരപ്പോര്‍ പേണിയകൂത്തു Pay. undertaken. പേണം V1. caution, പേണമായി carefully. denV. പേണിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി perhaps over-cautiously. CV. പേണിപ്പിക്ക Palg. f. i. വരന്പു = വണ്ണം വരുത്തുക, ഉടെച്ചു പൊതിയുക Palg.

pannaġam S. (പന്നം part. Of പദ്). A snake, as going along the ground പ. വാ യിലേ CG. — പന്നഗശായി RC. Višṇu— പന്നഗ വിഭ്രഷണന്‍ AR. Siva. പന്നഗാശികള്‍ ചെന്നു കുഴിക്കുന്നതു പോലേ Mud. pigs.
