mūssaδụ (fr. മൂത്തതു q. v. & below it). A lower division of Brahmans = ഊരിലേ പ രിഷ 151 who have left the കര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കാധി ക്യം to others & with Parašu Rāma's sins have taken on themselves the secular power ഭൂ മിക്കാധിക്യം — Brahmans who practise surgery are ranking with them.

mūδụ T. M.( മുതു). Prior, മൂതുവില the stem-part of a plantain leaf. മൂത്തപ്പന്‍, — ഛ്ശന്‍ 1. father's elder brother. 2. husband of an aunt, older than f. or m. 3. father's father അഛ്ശഛ്ശന്‍ (see മുത്ത പ്പന്‍ & പേരപ്പന്‍); also അഛ്ശാഛ്ശന്‍. മൂത്തമ്മ l. the elder sister of mother or father. 2. the wife of father's elder brother. 3. mother's mother. മൂത്താച്ചി a matron, father's or mother's mother = പേരമ്മ; മൂത്തി V2. a grandmother. മൂത്താര്‍, മൂത്തോര്‍ see മൂക്ക; hence: മൂത്തോരന്‍ & — ലന്‍ a jungle tribe; N. pr. m. മൂത്തേടത്തു കോവില്‍ (മൂക്ക) N. pr. a small principality So. of Cochin with മുട്ടം etc., the dynasty of which died out about 1600 A.D.
