moṭṭa T. M. C. Tu. (മുണ്ഡ). 1. A bald head ചിരെച്ചാല്‍ മൊട്ട prov.; a Brahman widow; a Māpḷa ഉപ്പു പുളിക്കൂലും മൊ. ചതി ക്കും prov. മൊ. അടിക്ക to shave the head completely. 2. = മുട്ട an egg. മൊട്ടക്കുന്നു a bare hillock. മൊട്ടക്കൊന്പന്‍ cattle having lost one horn or both. മൊട്ടത്തലയന്‍ a Māpḷa. മൊട്ടത്തൈ a cocoanut-plant before the shooting of തിരുള്‍. മൊട്ടപ്പശ So. the white of eggs used as glue.

mūδụ T. M.( മുതു). Prior, മൂതുവില the stem-part of a plantain leaf. മൂത്തപ്പന്‍, — ഛ്ശന്‍ 1. father's elder brother. 2. husband of an aunt, older than f. or m. 3. father's father അഛ്ശഛ്ശന്‍ (see മുത്ത പ്പന്‍ & പേരപ്പന്‍); also അഛ്ശാഛ്ശന്‍. മൂത്തമ്മ l. the elder sister of mother or father. 2. the wife of father's elder brother. 3. mother's mother. മൂത്താച്ചി a matron, father's or mother's mother = പേരമ്മ; മൂത്തി V2. a grandmother. മൂത്താര്‍, മൂത്തോര്‍ see മൂക്ക; hence: മൂത്തോരന്‍ & — ലന്‍ a jungle tribe; N. pr. m. മൂത്തേടത്തു കോവില്‍ (മൂക്ക) N. pr. a small principality So. of Cochin with മുട്ടം etc., the dynasty of which died out about 1600 A.D.

muδala T. Te. M. Tu. (C. Te. mosali). An alligator (from its prominent head). മുതലക്കിഴങ്ങു = മുതക്കു med. മുതലപ്പുഴ N. pr. river near Anjengo, swimming through which was treated as ordeal. മുതലമൂക്കു Polygonum, വെളുത്ത — P. oriontale, ചുവന്ന — P. barbatum.
