vašaḷam (V1. വഴലന്‍ q. v.). Bad, foul, spoiled. വ'ന്‍ wicked. എന്നെ വഷളായി പറ ഞ്ഞു, വളരേ വഷളത്വമായി പറഞ്ഞു abused. — വഷളാക്ക to corrupt, deprave.

vāyaγaǹ S. A weaver മെത്തകള്‍ തിരകളും കുത്തീടുന്ന വാ. Bhg. വായകം = വാചകം (ഓലയിലേ വാ. നോക്കി TP. വായന Tdbh. vakka So. (വക്കു 2). A large elephant-rope. വ. യിട്ടു പിടിക്ക MC. used in catching wild elephants, dragging timber. വക്കത്താഴന്പു scar on the trunk of elephants by its friction.
