čer̀u (see ചിറു) Small, little, mean. adj. ചെറിയ neut. ചെറുതു & ചെറിയതു. ചെറു പയര്‍മണി ചെറുതു (so ചെറുകയര്‍, ചെറുകി ണര്‍ etc.) prov. — ചെറിയന്നെടുത്തു പോററി TP. when he was young, from a baby. ചെറി യന്നേ Bhr. ചെറിയന്നാളത്തേക്കളി Anj. plays of childhood = ചെറുതായി കളിക്കും നാള്‍ Bhg. ചെറുതു also = ചെററു (ചെറുതു കാലം കൊണ്ടു KR.)
