Bhr.; പഴുത്ത പഴം ripe fruit, കുല പഴുക്കുന്പോള്‍ സങ്ക്രാന്തി, പഴു ക്കാന്‍ മൂത്താല്‍ പറിക്ക prov.; പ. വെക്ക to put fruits in straw (= പഴുപ്പിക്ക). 2. to become well tempered, red-hot. പ. ച്ചുടുക to roast well, എരിയുന്ന തീയില്‍ പഴുത്ത നാരാചം KR. 3. to suppurate പുണ്‍ പഴുക്കില്‍ MM. 4. to decay. പഴുത്തില a dried leaf, ദേഹം പഴു ത്തു പോയീടും KR. = പഴകി. പഴുത്തില hon. for betel, when Nāyars speak to Brahmans, Tīyars to Nāyars, etc. (see 4).
