kaḷaγaḷa S. (കല) Confused noise, buzz, din. കളകളഘോഷം ഘണ ഘണ ഘോഷവും KR. അങ്ങൊരു ക. സംഗതമായി PT. (of ചില ന്പു RS.) കളകള ഭയങ്കരം മുങ്ങിയും പൊങ്ങിയും ChVr. I.

ghōšam S. (ഘുഷ്) 1. Noise, loud sound വിക്രയസ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ എത്രയും മഹാ ഘോ. Nal. വാദ്യ— ങ്ങള്‍ ഘോഷിച്ചു നടന്നാര്‍ KR. ചക്ര—, അസ്ത്ര— ങ്ങള്‍ in battle. വേദി യന്മാരുടെ വേദഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ Nal. loud recitation. 2. rumour ഭൂപനോട് ഏല്പതിന്നെന്നൊ രു ഘോ. നടത്തിനാന്‍ Mud. spread a report, as if he meant to attack. എല്ലാടവും ഒരു ഘോ. കൊണ്ടുതേ it was bruited everywhere. പല രോടും ഘോ. കൊണ്ടീടുകില്‍ Mud. 3. pomp, parade, show കാടു ദഹിക്കുന്ന ഘോഷവും കാ ണായി Nal. കുറയ ഘോ. വേണം something extra (at dinner, feast). അവരുടെ കല്യാണം ഘോ'യിട്ടു കഴിച്ചു Ti. 4.S. station of herdsmen = ആയന്പാടി. ഘോഷണം sounding; proclamation, also ഘോഷണ. ഘോഷവാര്‍ see ഗോ — ഘോഷാക്ഷരം = ഗംഭീരാക്ഷരം. ഘോഷിതം (part.) loud (as ഘോഷിതശബ്ദ്ം V1. hoarse); proclaimed, preached. denV. ഘോഷിക്ക 1. to sound, v. n.; to produce a sound, to play, v. a. അവര്‍ വാദ്യം ഘോ'ന്നു Nal. ശോഷിച്ച തോയങ്ങള്‍ ഘോഷിച്ചു CG. (in consequence of rain). 2. to proclaim, announce സ്വയംവരം ഘോ'പ്പതിന്നു യത്നം തുടങ്ങുവിന്‍ Nal. (by circular letters). ഘോ' ച്ചു ഭയങ്കരം ചൊല്ലിനാന്‍ KR. ഘോഷിക്കാ ഞ്ഞതു ഭാഗ്യം എന്നതേ പറയാവു Mud. happily it has not been made public. ഘോ'ച്ചു കൊള്‍വിന്‍ എന്‍റെ പൌരുഷം, സ്വസ്ഥം നമുക്കെന്നു ഘോ'ക്കയും ചിലര്‍ Nal. പുരാ ണങ്ങള്‍ അത്യുച്ചം ഘോ'ക്കിലും KeiN. recite. 3. to celebrate with pomp ഉത്സവം, മഹാ ക്രതു ഘോ. Bhr. (but ഉത്സവം ഘോഷിച്ചു ക ല്പിച്ചു Mud. proclaimed). ഘോഷിച്ച സദ്യ a veryliberal feast. ഇങ്ങനേ ഘോഷിച്ചുയാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു Nal. pompously (for ears & eyes).

čakram S. 1. Wheel ചക്രഭ്രമം പോലെ മാറിവരും Bhg. throwing disk of Vishṇu & of Jōgis V1. 2. circle; also of magical figures ച. വെട്ടുക, വായില്‍ ചക്രവും മന്ത്രവും എഴുതി MM. in case of a chest wound. 3. sphere, dominion, realm; also crowd നക്രചക്രമകരൌ ഘ ഭയങ്കരം വരുണാലയം AR. 4. a Travancore coin from 1/28 to 1/28.5 Rup. 5. = ചക്രവാകം. ചക്രകുത്തിയാര്‍ (4) money-coiners KN. ചക്രപാണി (1) Vishnu. ചക്രം ചവിട്ടുക to clear a ricefield of water preparatory to sowing. അതിമോഹം ച'ട്ടും prov. ചക്രം തിരിക Bhr. to roll oneself. വീര്‍ത്തുച' ഞ്ഞു Bhg. bhayam S. (ഭീ). l. Fear അധമനു മരണ ത്തിങ്കല്‍നിന്നു ഭ. Bhr. ഒരുത്തരെ ഭ. ഇല്ലെനിക്കു KR. കള്ളന്മാരുടെ ഭ. കൊണ്ടു TR. from fear of thieves. നയമായിട്ടും ഭയമായിട്ടും എഴുതി TR. with kindness & threats. 2. danger അഗ്നി ഭ., പ്രാണഭ., അഞ്ചുഭ. bhīsaṇam S. (caus. of ഭീ). Frightening മഹാവനം ഭീ. ഭയങ്കരം Nal. ദണ്ഡിയെ ക്കാള്‍ അതിഭീ'മായി CG. — അധികഭീഷണനായ കാശ്മീരനാഥന്‍ Mud. awful. ഭീ'മായുള്ള വാക്കു കള്‍ Mud. threats. ഭീഷണി 1. a form of Kāḷi. 2. frightening ഭീ. കാട്ടുക, ഭീ. പ്രകാരത്തെ ചെയ്ക Nal. to terrify; esp. of threats ഭീരുവാം നിന്നുടെ ഭീ. കേട്ടപ്പോള്‍ SG നിന്നുടെ ഭീ. നമ്മോടു കൂടുമോ KR. thy menaces will not affect me. ഭീഷ്മം = ഭീമം S. — ഭീഷ്മര്‍ N. pr. son of Santanu.

viḷi T. M. (Tu. buḷ, Te. pil). 1.
