a 5. pron. That, yonder. (The corresponding pron. signifies this, as in അത്: അത്.) Hence: അവന്‍‍, അത്; അക്കര, അപ്പുറം, അപ്പോലെ (and അതുപോലെ). Before vowels അയ്യാള്‍ that man, അവ്വിടം that place. It is also used for the second person as അദ്ദേഹം that person, you (comp. അങ്ങു). II.

aγāraṇam S. What is without cause; അകാരണമായിട്ടു തളര്‍ച്ച Asht. (= അക സ്മാല്‍) അകാരണമായി ദ്വേഷ്യപ്പെട്ടു unprovokedly. അകാര്യം S. not to be done.

aγaušalam S. Inepertness, unskilfulness; അകൌശലലക്ഷണം സാധന ദൂക്ഷൃം (prov.) a bad workman blames his tools.

agaδi S. 1. Being without means = വഴിയില്ലയ്ക, അഗതിപ്പെടുക fall into adverse circumstances V1. അഗതിക്ക് അര്‍ തരും who will help me in my poverty? 2. (= അഗ തിമാന്‍ V1.) poor, forlorn, unprotected അ ഗതികള്‍ beggars. അഗതിവേഷം പൂണ്ടു Mud. അഗതിത്വം poverty, stinginess V1.

agamam = അഗം S. അഗമൃ Inaccessible = സ്വസ്ത്രീയല്ലാത്തവള്‍‍; അഗമ്യാഗമ നം prohibited intercourse Bhr.

aṇṇāḍi 5. (അങ്ങ് അംഗം + ആടുക) 1. Shop, in Mal. rather അങ്ങാടിപ്പീടിക. 2. market street, bazaar, town, village (in many N. pr. f. i. പുതിയങ്ങാടി, etc.) Cpds. അങ്ങാടിക്കാരന്‍ shopkeeper. അങ്ങാടിച്ചരക്കു or വാണിഭം merchandise; ആ ടറിയുമോ അ.
