kannaṭṭam B. Place for drying fruit (കളം).

kānanam S. Jungle (= കാനം, prh. കാന്‍ hard, see കാതല്‍). കാനനപൂകികള്‍ exiles. Bhr.

koṭṭil T. Cowhouse (comp. കൊട്ടാരം) 1. shed, barn, workshop (chiefly of കൊല്ലന്‍, also of ഒസ്സാന്‍). കൊട്ടിലില്‍ കട്ടിലിട്ടാല്‍ കയ്യ നും കട്ടിലേറും prov. പന്തലും കൊട്ടിലും കെട്ടി ച്ചമെക്ക Nal. temporary shelter. പടക്കൊട്ടില്‍ KR. barracks. 2. house (hon.). കൊട്ടിലകത്തു in the innermost room, where the evening light is first placed for the ancestors. Palg. also = പാണ്ടിശാല.

kur̀ičči T. M. 1. (കുറു = കുന്നു) Hill-country (in കാട്ടുകുറിശ്ശി, തേങ്കുറിശ്ശി, പെരി ങ്ങോട്ടുകുറിശ്ശി etc.) 2. a kind of fish with many & sharp bones. കുറിച്ചി വളര്‍ന്നാല്‍ ആ വോലിയോളം prov. Silurus Bagre. 3. (T. കുറി) pudendum muliebre. കുറിച്ചിവള്ളി or കൊടി Rh. Echites lævigata. കുറിച്ചിയര്‍ (C. കൊരചര്‍) a hill-tribe പുനവാ‍ രം തന്ന കുറിച്ചിയര്‍ TR. (in Wayanāḍ/?/), also കാടര്‍ കുറിച്ചിയപ്പണിക്കന്മാര്‍ TP.
