kuǹǹi T. M. (S. ഗുഞ്ജ) 1. Abrus precatorius; the speckled seed കുന്നിക്കുരു is used as weight കുന്നിത്തൂക്കം, — പ്രമാണം, — യിട, = 15/16 grains or = 4 നെല്ലു, ½ മഞ്ചാടി. കുന്നി ക്കുരു കുപ്പയില്‍ ഇട്ടാലും മിന്നും prov. കുന്നിയാ ലേപ്പട്ടു TP. of Abrus pattern, കുന്നിയോളം സ്ഥാനം കിട്ടാ (opp. കുന്നോളം പൊന്നു). Kinds ഇരിന്പുകുന്നി a tree, ചെങ്കുന്നി B., വെണ്കുന്നി a glycyrrhiza വെണ്കുന്നിവേരും a med. 2. the upper part of the ear (hill-like) കുന്നിയുടെ വേര്‍ ഇളക്ക a school punishment. കുന്നിക്കു ചിരട്ട കടിപ്പിക്ക TP. to make a dog to howl. 3. cartilage of ear. കുന്നിപ്പശ a paste of goldsmiths. കുന്നിവാക N. pr. kayar̀ụ T. Tu. M. (Te. ചേറു) Coir, rope, cord. kuδir NoM. (see കുതിരുക) Small mounds of earth in ricefields, on which the rice is sown and after it is grown sufficiently, is transplanted with a hoe.
