kēvalam S. 1. Exclusive, absolute. കേവലാത്മാവ് CC. whose essence is one. കേവലജ്ഞാനം absolute knowledge. 2. adv. entirely. ദേവകള്‍ ആകുന്ന വൈരികള്‍ എന്നി യേ കേവലം ഇല്ല മറെറന്നുവന്നു CG. no enemy left except the Gods. അതിന്നു കേ. വിരോ ധമായി MR. directly contrary. കേവലം ഒന്നു merely one. കേ. മനുഷ്യരല്ലിവര്‍ KR. evidently, decidedly. കേവലന്‍ the absolute being. ദേവകീര്‍ഗര്‍ഭകനാ യൊരു കേ. (in hell). കള്ളിമുള്ളന്‍ So. a kind of hedgehog, worst kind of small-pox. കള്ളിപ്പാല No. a shrub, when cut, the face & even the body of some persons will swell (lasting for 1 — 2 days). കള്ളു see കള്‍; കള്ളൊപ്പു see കള്ളം.

kaṇḍaγam 5. 1. A thorn. ഏററക. ഒഴിക്കേണം എങ്കില്‍ മററു ക'മേ മതിയാവു ChVr. 2. dangerous. ലോകത്രയകണ്ടകന്‍ UR. Rāvaṇa also called ദേവകണ്ടകന്‍ AR. the scourge of the Gods. കണ്ടകകുലം RC. the Rāxasas. 3. a most inauspicious time ക'ത്തിന്നു കാട്ടില്‍ പോകേണം (also കണ്ടകശനി (also — ശ്ശ vu.); നാലാമേടം, ഏഴാമേടം, പത്താമേടം). കണ്ടകസ്നാനം (3) washing in such seasons. കണ്ടകാരിചുണ്ട or ക. വഴുതിന Solanum Jacquini, one of the ചെറുപഞ്ചമൂലം GP. ക. വാഴ = ദുസ്പര്‍ശ dict. കണ്ടകാര So. the thorny Webera tetrandra. കണ്ടകിഫലം the jackfruit tree = പിലാവ്. കണ്ടകികറുപ്പുകള്‍ Nal.
