činnam 1. (Tdbh., ഛി — or ചിന്ന) A piece, bit. ചിന്നം ഓല = ചീന്തോല. 2. (Tdbh., ചിഹ്നം, in T. = കാഹളം) ചിന്നം പാടുക V2. an elephant to roar.

čākki pl. hon. ചാക്കിയാര്‍, ചാകൃാര്‍ N. pr. A caste of half-brahmans, who sing & play before Gods & Brahmans. čappụ (Tdbh.; ശഷ്പം) 1. Leaf, esp. plantain leaf. ചപ്പുടുക്ക in hunting f. i. ചപ്പെടു ത്തുടുത്തു കെട്ടിയണെച്ചു കുന്നടുക്കേ ചെല്ക. — something of little value; എങ്ങനെയും വല്ല ചപ്പും ചവറും കയററി ഓടെണം TR. get some cargo anyhow. 2. a branch with leaves serving for an interdict (= തോല്‍ വെക്ക) വീ ടടെച്ചു ചപ്പും ഇട്ടു & ചപ്പെടുക്ക TR.
