čuṭṭi T. M. (ചുട്ടു) 1. Mark or jewel on the forehead. ചു. കുത്തുക to paint the face, So. rather ചൊട്ടി. 2. (C. Tu. സുട്ടി) smartness, quickness വാക്കിന്നു നല്ല ചുട്ടി ഉണ്ടു. ചുട്ടു T. aM. pointing out = ചൂണ്ടുക; natural mark on the skin f.i. of cows, children പാണ്ടുകള്‍ ചുട്ടുകളും Bhg 10.

čotta (T. So. worm-eaten, C. ജൊത്തു close, thick = ചെറുത്തു) Mud, mire ചൊത്തയും ചളിയും prov.; also കൊത്ത. ചൊത്തി = ചൊങ്കു 2. (C. സൊത്ത) defective, lean, as ചൊത്തിക്കൈ So. a withered hand.
