čuḷukkụ T. M. C. Te. (കി — & ചി, സു —) 1. Sprain, wrench, cramp. 2. frown, impatience V1.; also ചുളുക്കം So., ചുളുക്കന്‍ V1. hasty. ചുളങ്ങുക to shrink, wrinkle, to be distorted മുഖം ചു. VyM. ആപത്തില്‍ ചു. ഇല്ല undaunted, So. ചുളുക്കുക, ക്കി to distort, wrench.

čammaṭṭi (Tdbh., ചര്‍മ്മയഷ്ടി) 1. Scourge, whip ച. പിടിച്ചു Bhr. ച. കൊണ്ടടിച്ചു Nal. 2. (T. hammer) ചമ്മട്ടികൂടം hammer for beating metal into plates V1.

čuvakka (T. ചി — fr. ചെം, ചെവ്) To be red, ചുവന്ന red, high coloured. (So. also ചുവത്ര). ചുവക്ക വറുത്തു a med. CV. ചുവത്തുക to make red (only po. of the eye) കണ്‍ ചു., കണ്മുന ചാലച്ചുവത്തി CG. കണ്ണും ചുവത്തി വിറെച്ചു Bhr. ഗാത്രം വിറെച്ചു ക ണ്ണും ചുവത്തി കൊണ്ടു Mud. VN. ചുവപ്പു 1. red; the red colour ചു. പലം രണ്ടു TR. (of weavers). 2. a ruby. 3. ചു കപ്പിന്‍റെ ദീനം = അംഗവളര്‍പ്പന്‍. CV. ചുവപ്പിക്ക to make red, to dye red.

čavukkụ P. čābuk, Horse-whip; also ചവൊക്കു Port. chabúco. ചവുക്ക & ചവൊക്കുമരം = കാററാടി Casuarina.

čālikka = ചാരിക്ക 1. To mix ingredients in fluids തേനില്‍ ചാലിച്ചു സേവിച്ചു. 2. to moisten grain for ചേററുവിത.

čāyilyam (T. ജാതിലിംഗം, but hardly in S. usage; ജാദി C. red from ജതു). Vermilion, used for dyeing shields, painting malefactors, writing, etc. ചായില്യപരിച V1. ചാ. തേക്ക vu. അവനെ ശായില്യമിട്ടു കഴുകി ന്മേല്‍ ഏററുവിന്‍ Mud.
