čēḷāγam (ചേല) A bag of wares hung on the shoulders. ചേളാട്ടി a leather bag or basket, f. i. for weighing pepper.

čōruγa T. M.(C. Tu. സോ —) see ചൊരിയുക, ചൊര. 1. To flow. ഉടലില്‍ക്കു രുതി ചോരുംവണ്ണം, പുനല്‍ചോരും കണ്ണു RC. 2. to ooze, trickle വെള്ളം, എണ്ണപാത്രത്തൂടേ; to misle. 3. to leak പുരകെട്ടാതേ ചോര്‍ന്നു TR. മാരി ഏതുമേ ചോരാതവണ്ണം അടെച്ചു CG. the house. 4. to slip through കടു ചോരുന്ന തു കാണും ആന ചോരുന്നതു കാണാ prov. അ രി ചോര്‍ന്നുപോയി through a torn cloth. വ ള്ളി ചോര്‍ന്നുപോക a pepper-vine to fall down. CV. ചോരിക്ക to cause to leak V1. a. v. ചോര്‍ക്ക, ര്‍ത്തു 1. to make to drop through. 2. to melt wax B. 3. മുള്ളന്‍മാളി ചോര്‍ത്തിട്ടു മുള്ളനെ പിടിക്ക to smoke a porcupine out of its den. ചോര്‍ച്ച 1. leaking etc. 2.No. = തുവര്‍ച്ച interruption of the monsoon. മഴെക്ക ഒരു ചോര്‍ച്ച കാണുന്പോള്‍ (see തുവരുക, തോരുക).

čakkara (Tdbh.; ശര്‍ക്കര) Jaggory, palm-sugar. ച'ക്ക് അകവും പുറവും ഒക്കും, ആനെ ക്കു ച. പന prov. (ആനച്ചക്കര a creeper eaten by elephants). Hence: ചക്കരക്കത്തിക്കാരന്‍ see കത്തി. ചക്കരക്കള്ളു toddy for making sugar (called ചക്കരക്കട്ടി). ചക്കരക്കള്ളന്‍ a red ant. ചക്കരപ്പാവു B. raw sugar, syrup; the inspissated palmyra-juice. Palg. ചക്കരപ്പൊട്ടിക്ക = ഞെട്ടാഞെടുങ്ങു.

A roll; as of tobacco, 'cheroot.' 2. a sheaf എണ്ണച്ചു. sheaves given to temples in lieu of payment. — (1 ചുരുട്ടു = 3 കൈപ്പിടി). ചുരുട്ടത്തല So. curled hair. ചുരുട്ടപ്പാന്പു a small venomous snake coiled up in dry spray (= ചേരട്ട). ചുരുട്ടപ്പം biscuit. ചുരുട്ടുക v. a. to roll up; മുഷ്ടി ചു.
