čōri T., aM. (ചോരുക). Blood പൊ ന്തൊഴുകും കടല ചോരിയാറായി, ചോരി കുടു കുടകുടിത്തു RC. — ചോരിച്ചൊവ്വായി or ചെ ഞ്ചോരിവായി (q. v.) red lips. — നാരിയും ചോരിവാവേരി (= ചിറിത്തടം) നല്ക്കീടിനാള്‍ Bhg 6.

Tdbh., ക്ഷുരം. 2. = ചിരവ a grater, scraper for cocoanuts, vu. ചിരനാവു, ചിരവനാക്കു, ചിരാ പ്പൂ No., ചിരവപ്പല്‍ So.fixed in the ചിരവത്തടി. ചിരകുക see ചു— ചിരക്കത്തി a razor. ചിരയന്‍ V1. a shaved person. ചിരാപ്പൂ & ചിരവപ്പൂ = പാലന്പൂ. ചിരെക്ക T. M. (Te. C. Tu. ചെക്കു to plane) v. a. I. to shave തലമുടിചി. = വടിക്ക. 2. V1. to scrape. VN. ചിരെപ്പു shaving; scraping. ചിരപ്പകുററി a gourd of കാട്ടുചുര. CV. ബ്രാഹ്മണന്‍റെ തലയും ചിരപ്പിച്ചു VyM. I.

čēra T. Tu. (കേര) The ratsnake, Amphisbæna or Coryphodon, not venomous, but said to cause leprosy by its touch; (see അള). ചേര തിന്നുന്ന നാട്ടില്‍ prov. (S. ഡുണ്ഡുഭം). Kinds: മഞ്ഞച്ചേര prov. ചേരട്ട (C. Te. ജെരി, T. ചെവ്വട്ട red leech) centipede, millipede. കരിഞ്ചേ. (black), മല ച്ചേ. (3—4/?/ thick). ചേരട്ടപാന്പു V1. a kind of Cobra. (So. തേ രട്ട MC.)

čakkụ (Tdbh.; ചക്രം) 1. Oilpress, (ചക്കു കണ the roller of it, ചക്കുകൊക്കു a wood on the top of the pestle, ചക്കുരല്‍ the mortar); sugar-mill etc. ചക്കിന്‍റെ മുരട്ടു കുട്ടന്‍റെ ചേല്‍ prov. ചക്കിലിട്ടമര്‍ത്തീടും എള്ളുപോലെ Brhmd. ചക്കില കപ്പെട്ടൊരിക്ഷു പോലെ ഞെരിക്ക CG. Kinds: നാട്ടുചക്കു, കൊങ്ങന്‍ചക്കു MR. 2. measure of oil-fruits ഒരു ചക്ക് എള്ളു etc. Hence: ചക്കാട്ടുക to work an oilpress. VN. ചക്കാട്ടു — ട്ടം the pressing of oil, etc. ചക്കാന്‍ m.— ാത്തി f. oilpresser, So. ചക്കാല the shed of an oilpress. ചക്കാലവാണി യന്‍& ചക്കോന്‍ KN. the caste of oil-makers, also ചക്കുകാരന്‍ MR. ചക്കില്ലാത്ത വാണി യന്‍ KN. an oil-seller. ചക്കുതോക്കു a mortar TR.— ചക്കുണ്ട a bomb, hence: ചക്കുവെടി bombarding. ചക്കുപാര an instrument for taking oilcake out of the press. ചക്കുപുര = ചക്കാല, also ചക്കിനമൂടു.

čulam S. (ചൂള = ചൂഡ). ചൌള കര്‍മ്മം the ceremony of tonsure, performed on Brahman children three years old.

čeḷukka (& ചേള q. v., 1. T. ചെ വുള്‍) No. Gills of fish. ചെളുക്കയില്‍ നാര്‍കൊ ണ്ടുവന്നു vu. 2. scales of fish, torn mat, etc. ചെളുക്ക എടുക്ക the skin to burst, as between the toes (fr. ചെള്ളുക).
