teḷikka (തെളി 4., aC. തെളല്‍ to start, set out) v. a. To drive cattle with shouts. മൂരി കളെത്തെളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി TR. (robbers), എരുതിനെത്തെളിച്ചാക്കി, അശ്വം തെ. Nal., നീതേരും തെളിച്ചുകൊടുക്ക AR. — without Acc. തെളിയെന്നുരെത്താന്‍ RC., എടുത്തു ചമ്മട്ടി തെ ളിച്ചു സൂതനും KR. — met. തെളിച്ചതിലേ നട ക്കാഞ്ഞാല്‍ നടന്നതിലേ തെളിക്ക prov. (of education).

tūḷ palg. vu., rather T. = ധൂളി. denV. തൂളുക So. = ധൂളിക്ക f.i. പൊടി തൂ. = കി ളരുക; വെള്ളം തൂ.o raj. water to break or fall into spray; spray to rise.

tuḍappụ (1. 3.) A turn or measure, ഒരു തു. ploughing once. ഒരു തു. മാത്രം നീട്ടം (of ropes.)

tulōm (തുലവും V1., fr. തുലാം 4?) Much, very. മറിഞ്ഞുനോക്കിത്തുലോം AR. looked often back.

tina T. M. (C. തെനെ a spike of corn) Panicum Italicum. തിനക്കഞ്ഞി (med. for wounded). Kinds: കരുന്തി. black millet (കംഗു), ചെ ന്തി. red millet (കന്പു). — തിനപ്പുല്‍ Poa plumosa. തിനയഞ്ചേരി ഇളയതു N. pr., third minister of Tāmūri, a Brahman that crowns him KU., called രണ്ടാം കിരിയം.

tēkkuγa (C. Tu. തേഗു to belch, Te. തേഞ്ചു, T. to cram). To belch തേക്കി ഇടുക, തളികയില്‍ ഉണ്ടാലും തേക്കും, ഇരിന്പുകുടി ച്ച വെള്ളം തേക്കുമോ prov. തേക്കി അരെക്കുക to ruminate (& തേട്ടി അ.) — ചക്കിന്‍റെ കണ തേക്കിപ്പോയി has flown out. No. തേങ്ങുക So. (T. to be full). To beat as waves on the shore, to feel nausea, to sob. തേ ങ്ങിത്തേങ്ങിക്കരക So.; to totter, reel V1.; to work out as a nail. B. VN. I. തേക്കം nausea, unsubdued anger B.; tottering, swoon V1. II. in പുളിന്തേക്കു TP. ഇടുക or III. പുളിന്തേ ക്കല്‍ ആയിരിക്ക sour belching, caused by an evil eye, (superst.) No. II. തേക്ക, ച്ചു v. a. (തേയുക) 1. To rub, smear തേച്ചിരിക്ക (with oil). തേച്ചുകളി regular bath. കുഞ്ഞനേ തേച്ചുകളിപ്പിക്കുന്നു TP. (the bride). എണ്ണ മേല്ക്കു തേക്ക MM.; കൊങ്കകളില്‍ വിഷം തേച്ചു ചമെച്ചു CG.; ചേവടിയിലേച്ചേറ് എല്ലാം അമ്മയുടെ ചേലയില്‍ തേച്ചു CG. — so also to white-wash (കുമ്മായം), to paint. 2. to clean, polish, sharpen. തേയാത്ത പല്ലു Nid.; കൈക ളേ പനിനീരില്‍ തേച്ചു CG.; വെണ്ണീറിട്ടു തേ. teruḷaγa T. To acquire clear perception (= തെരി). തെരുണ്ട പെണ്‍ = തിരണ്ട q. v. — Hence തെരുട്ടുക T. to acquaint, M. a part of the grand ceremony (തിരട്ടുകല്യാണം) performed with girls. തെര്‍പ്പ Tdbh. = ദര്‍ഭ.

tiγa/?/uγa T. aM. To shine (or = തിക ളു?). തികഴ്വീരന്‍ ഇരാവണി RC. splendid (or perfect?) hero, വരം തികഴും വടിവു, വരന്തി കഴ്പോര്‍ RC.
