(= തിഗ്മം) Sharp. തീക്ഷ്ണ ഖള്‍ഗം PT.; തീക്ഷണവിജ്ഞാനാസിനാ ഛേദിക്ക Bhg.; തീ'നായുള്ള മൌര്യന്‍ Mud.; തീ'മാം തേജ സ്സോടും Bhr. തീക്ഷ്ണദണ്ഡന്‍ AR. a severe master. തീക്ഷ്ണരസം saltpetre, Mud. — Also തീക്ഷണം (as തീക്ഷണഗന്ധങ്ങളാം വില്വം Nal.; തീ' മായുള്ള കത്തിയെ നക്കുന്നു, തീ'മാകും വണ്ണം ശോഭിക്കും KR.) as it were 'quick like fire'.

tūṇi T. M. S. 1. Quiver (Tu. aC. ദോ ണെ, in S. also തൂണം, √ തൂരുക). ശരം ഒടു ങ്ങാത തൂണി KR. ശരതൂണി, അന്പിടുതൂണി RC. 2. a measure of seed sufficient for 100 yards of rice-field, about 1½ Iḍangā/?/i (= 86,400 rice-grains W.). നെല്ല ൮ തൂണിക്ക് അരി ൫ പോരും നെല്ലു CS. paddy, which yields 5/8 rice. — തൂണിക്കൊട്ട a measuring basket.

tiṇḍụ 1. An earthen wall, തിണ്ടിന്മേല്‍ നിന്നു തെറി പറക prov. 2. a blank (No. = വരന്പു), shoal V1. = തിട്ടു. 3. So. തിണ്ടെടുക്ക to pack a bale of cloth etc. denV. തിണ്ടിക്ക = the edges of a wound becoming swollen.

tōḍikka (C. തോടു a pair, Te. companion) To seam, join two pieces of cloth (loc.) — No. also തോടുക to tack.

tāvuγa T. aM. 1. To rush in upon, തറയില്‍ താവിനാന്‍, എഴത്താവി കൊടുമയില്‍ നടന്നാര്‍ RC. അന്തര്‍ഭാഗേ താവിനാന്‍ Bhg. പൂമേനിയില്‍ താവി വരുന്ന തെന്നല്‍ CG. the zephyr blowing on him. 2. to spread തന്‍ മുഖത്തില്‍ താവുന്ന ലാവണ്യപീയൂഷം CG.; പൂമ ലരില്‍ താവുന്നോരാനന്ദത്തേറല്‍ CG. 3. = താ ഴുക to sink, fall താവുന്ന രോമങ്ങള്‍, നാകികള്‍ മൌലിയില്‍ താവി നിന്നീടുന്ന മണി CG. താവും എള്‍പ്പൂവിനുള്‍കോഴ കൊണ്ടീടെഴും നാസിക Anj. the nose compared to the drooping sesamflower.

Determined; accuracy. എല്കയുടെ തി. അറിഞ്ഞവര്‍ VyM. — തിട്ട പ്പെടുക to be regulated, to agree exactly. തി'മാക്കുക to adjust, regulate, തി. വരുത്തുക to make sure of, ascertain exactly, settle the price VyM. മുക്കാല്‍ത്തിട്ടം VyM. = വാശി q. v. 2. Tdbh.; ധൃഷ്ടം‍ bold, confident.

taḍuppụ (C. Te. chiefly wet cloth, C. ദഡുപ്പു suit of clothes) Foreign cloth, as worn by Māppiḷḷachis, (of മാതിരിപ്പാടു).
