Bhr.; പുത്തന്‍ ത'രായ്മെത്തുന്ന ചോരിവാ CG. — അക തളിര്‍, കാല്‍ത്തളിര്‍ etc. met. for what is tender, attractive. തളിര്‍ക്കുല B. a compound pedicle. v. n. തളിര്‍ക്ക To bud, sprout, get fresh leaves നന്നായി മുളെച്ചു തളിര്‍ത്തിതു പേരാല്‍ Bhr. tārṇam S. = തൃണം കൊണ്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയ സര്‍പ്പം Bhr.

tur̀akka T. തി —, C. Te. തെ —, (see തിറ) To open. 1. v.n. തുറന്നുപോക to open of itself. തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ തുറന്നതു കാണായി വാ തില്‍ എല്ലാം CG. നല്ല വെളിച്ചം തുറന്നൊരു നേരത്തു SG. broke upon him. 2. v. a. ഓകു തുറന്നുകൊടുക്ക to clear a gutter. തട്ടിത്തു. വാ തില്‍, വാതില്‍ തുറന്നനേ TP. open the door! കുടികളെ തുറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു TR. forced sealed doors open. എന്‍റെ നേരേ ദൈവം കണ്ണു തു റന്നു has heard & visited me. തുറന്നു പറക to open one's mind freely, (opp. ഗര്‍ഭിച്ചു പറക), to disclose; so തുറന്നു കാട്ടുക = വെളിവായി. III. തുറവു l. opening, entrance; also = തുറ a harbour. Pay. 2. openness; also തുറവടി. തുറസ്സു open, clear, exposed to the light, തുറ സ്സാക്കി etc. CV. തുറപ്പിക്ക, f. i. വാതുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു വിളിച്ചു തു'ച്ചു SG.

taṇal (തണ്‍) 1. Shade, shady spot ത. പ്പറന്പു = ചോല, മരത്തണലില്‍ ഇരിക്ക KR.; ത ണലത്തിരിക്ക.; met. വെന്തുന്ന എങ്ങള്‍ക്കു നിന്ത ണല്‍ CG. 2. shelter, protection (= നിഴല്‍) പ്രജകള്‍ക്കു ത. കൊടുത്തു TR. തണലാറുക, — ലിളെക്ക to cool oneself.

taδaḥ S. (തല്‍) Thence; therefore.

tūma T. M. (&തുയ്മ, see തൂ) 1. Purity പു ഞ്ചിപിത്തൂമ, മുഖത്തിന്‍തൂമകെടും CG.(through weeping). പഞ്ചതാരെക്കു തു മ വന്നു refined. മര ത്തിന്നു തൂമ വരുത്തുക to improve, straighten V1. 2. perfection. തൂമയാലേ neatly. തൂമയോ ടര്‍ജ്ജുനന്‍ എതിര്‍ത്തു Bhr. Mud. (often expl.) തൂമപ്പെടുക to grow fine, succeed ഇതൊട്ടും തൂ മപ്പെടാത്തൊഴില്‍ RC.

te/?/u = തൊഴു, in തെഴുക്കുത്തുക To bend the body backwards & turn the feet over head, (തെ'ത്തി മടന്പു പിടിക്ക TP.). തെഴുക new leaves, as മാവിന്‍ തെ. n. v. തെഴുക്ക (= തഴെക്ക I.) 1. trees to bud, sprout തരസാ പൂത്തു തെഴുത്തു ദൃഷ്ടമായി CC. 2. to thrive, as a house after misfortunes, ഭൂതലം നിറഞ്ഞു തെഴുത്തു ഫലിച്ചിതു KR. തെഴുവാഴ (Kurumbranāḍu) = നേന്ത്രവാഴ.

Bhr.; മരു ന്നു തളിച്ചു പുണ്ണില്‍ ഇടുക MM.; പനിനീര്‍ ക ട്ടില്ക്കല്‍ തളിച്ചു CG. to cleanse by sprinkling; തളിച്ചു കളി holy bathing. തളിച്ച തൂക്കയും കു ളിക്ക എന്നതും KR. 2. to sprinkle water with cowdung, as before a Royal procession മുന്നില്‍ ത്തളി, (തളി 3.). 3. to sprinkle milk to remove pollution after a case of death, as തിരു വന്തിള.
