pōkkaḍam No. l. (പോക്കു l) & pl. പോ'ങ്ങള്‍ Palg. What falls off, as chips = ത ളളുമരം etc. met. അവന്നു വലിയ പോ. വന്നു he has suffered loss & is hard up. 2. (പോ ക്കു 3) shift, means ഇനിക്കു പോക്കടം ഇല്ല No. = പോക്കിടം, കഴിവു, കൊണ്ടു പോക്കു.

Tdbh.; പത്രിക 1. parṇam S.1. (see പറക്ക — L. penna.). A feather, 2. a leaf = പത്രം, hence പ൪ണ്ണശാല a hut of leaves, hermitage, also പ൪ണ്ണക്കുടിയി ങ്കല്‍ നന്നായിരുന്നു KR. (S. & M.)

pāyasam S. (പയസ്സ്). 1. Rice boiled in milk = പാല്‍ച്ചോറു, ഹേമപാത്രസ്ഥമായ പായസം AR.; a meal in a temple പാല്‍പാ. ചരക്കില്‍ വെച്ചു vu. പായതച്ചോററിന്നിരിക്ക TP. 2. a vow ആഴിവര്‍ണ്ണനു പായസ്സം പതി നാറു കഴിപ്പന്‍ SG. (gen. പണപ്പായസം).

pēṭṭāǹ B. Afresh, again, prob. = പേര്‍ത്തും.

piδuṇṇuγa T. M. (C. hodaku). 1. So. To be squeezed, pressed out. 2. No. children to make wry faces, begin to cry. പിതുക്കുക T. M. Te. C. to crush തവളയെ ചവി ട്ടി പിതുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു No.; to press the matter out of a boil (= പിളുക്കുക).

P. farmān, (fr. S. പ്രമാണം). Order, പ. വായിച്ചു TR.; also പരമാനം; കൊടുത്തയച്ച പരമാനിക (P. parvāna); even പട്ടണത്തുന്നു ഒരു പരമാനികം വന്നു TR. pāḍaγam T. M. S. 1. An ankle-ring, worn by women (പാദകടകം?). തണ്ടയും പാ ടകവും palg. foot-ornaments of I/?/awar girls. മണിക്കു പാ. a wrist-bracelet. 2. S. (പാടു + അ കം) part of a village അപ്പാടകത്തങ്ങു മേവു ന്നു CC.
