piṭham S. 1. A seat, chair of president etc. ഹേമപീ. കൊടുത്തിരുത്തി Nal. മൌ൪യ്യ നോട് ഒപ്പം പീഠത്തിന്മേലേ വെച്ചു Mud. (=അര്‍ദ്ധസിംഹാസനം കൊടുത്തു), മുക്കാലിപ്പീ ടം പലക TP. a stool. 2. basis, pedestal (in temples the seat of a Deity). ബലിപീ., സ൪വ്വജ്ഞപീ. etc. പീഠിക S. dimin. = പീഠം, see പീടിക 1.

H. pārā (fr. S. പ്രഹരക).
