pūńńa 1. The hump of a bull (fr. കൂ ഞ്ഞു, So. പൂഞ്ഞക്കുററി) 2. muscles of the nape of the neck, the size & strength of which mark the born king തടിച്ച പൂ.യുള്ളവന്‍. An insect is called പൂഴിക്കാപ്പൂഞ്ഞ. പൂഞ്ഞാന്‍ (T. പൂഞ്ചാന്‍ a grass) a pastil, cake of perfume V1., benzoin V2. (പൂഞ്ഞാന്‍ കട്ട).

paḍakkam (പടപട). A cracker, തോ ല്പ. പൊട്ടുക to go off. പ. പൊട്ടിക്ക, കൊളുത്തു ക to fire it. A kind ഓലപ്പ —. (C. H. paṭāka).

pāǹi = പാന 1. A waterpot; (Palg. തോ ണ്ടിപ്പാനി); esp. കപ്പാനി (Palg. മുട്ടിപ്പാനി) the pot in which palmwine (കള്‍) is gathered, പാ. വടിച്ചകളളു 2. palmyra-wine prepared with chunam. B. പാനിക്കൊട്ട (1) No. a cover of cocoanut-leaves placed over toddy-pots on palm-trees (to keep off crows).

paḍappụ l. = പടെപ്പു Creation; people. ഈ പ. this fellow. 2. = പടുപ്പു bedding, mat. കന്മതിലിന്മേല്‍ പെണ്ണുങ്ങള്‍പ. ഇട്ടിരുന്നു; പായും പടപ്പും വരഞ്ഞോണ്ടു TP. abstaining from women; (see പെരിന്പടപ്പു 2.). 3.
