meruγụ (& വെരുക q. v. Tdbh. മൃഗം? in T. Te. C. Tu. മെരുകു lustre, glittering = മിന്‍). 1. The civet-cat, also കൂട്ടില്‍ ഇട്ട മെരു prov. Kinds: കൊടിമെരു (with പുഴുകു), മര — or ക ള്ളുണ്ണിമെരു. (പുഴുകു 2, 688). മെരുകിന്‍ ചട്ടം So. its ventricle. 2. = പുഴുകു as മെരു ഓററുക, അണെക്ക to emit the civet.
