maδi. (മന്‍). 1. The mind; in Cpds. minded as ദുര്‍മ്മ., ക്രൂരമതികള്‍, നഷ്ടമതികള്‍ Sah. 2. understanding ഞാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിക്കു മതി പോരാ തേ ഉള്ളവന്‍; opinion, inclination ക്രൂരയായ മതി KR. (fem). 3. estimation. നിന്‍റെ മതിയും കൊതിയും കെടുവോളത്തിന്നു തിന്നുക satisfy thy appetite; taxes, esp. port dues V1. ഇറ ക്കുമ., ഏററുമ., കുത്തുമതി. f. i. അത്ര വെച്ചു ക ണ്ടാലും മതി പോരും KU. I shall be satisfied with so little tribute. 4. reasonable amount, enough, sufficient മ. ഇനി യുദ്ധം Bhr. പറ യാന്‍ അവര്‍ മതി TR. they can tell. ചിലര്‍ക്കു തെളികിലും മ. (in the eye). — met. കിള മുഴച്ചേടം വാര്‍ന്നു കളക No. to cut off the bulging part of a mud-wall.
