māruδaǹ S. (മരുല്‍). Wind ഏഴു മാ' ന്മാര്‍ KR. (f.i. വായു, പ്രാണന്‍, അനിലന്‍, ജീ വന്‍ etc.). മാരുതത്തെല്ലു Si Pu. a light breeze; zephyr. മാരുതദേവന്‍ Bhr., (also വിബുധ ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്‍) the giver of wisdom. മാരുതി S. Hanuman KR., Bhīmasēna Bhr.

maraṇam S. (മൃ). Dying, death മ. ഉണ്ടെ നിക്കു Anj. I have to die. Cpds. മരണകാലം, — വായു etc.; വിഷം മരണദം GP. deadly. മരണപത്രിക, — സാധനം S. a will, testament. മരണപ്പാച്ചല്‍ പായുക to run for life; to run at the top of one's speed. മരണഭയം Mud. fear of death. മരണവേദന, — സങ്കടം (= പ്രാണ —) agony. മരണവേള Palg. = മരണസമയം. മരണാന്തം S. ending with death പൈരങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം മ. KR. മരതകം (constantly = മരകതം). An emerald മ രതകയസ്തംഭങ്ങള്‍ KR. മ'ല്ലു Bhr. മരതി a Par̀ayar deity (= death?).

mēḍụ T. M. C. (മീ or മാടു, Te. mōḍu). 1. Rising ground, a hillock. കുന്നും മേടും hill & dale; മേടും പള്ളവും ups & downs. അകത്തു മേടു the seed-vessel or pericardium of lotus. 2. trouble, കടല്‍മേടു പെടുക V1. to be wrecked. വളരേ പാടും മേടും affliction. മേട്ടുവഴി a causeway.

muči (T. the crown of the head). The face, hence മുകം തിരിഞ്ഞ മൊച്ചിങ്ങ KU. a young cocoa-nut. (comp. മെച്ചിങ്ങ). മുച്ചിയര്‍ 5. (മുച്ചു C. Tu. cover = മൂടി) sheath-makers, stationers.

ma/?/al = മയല്‍ q. v. Infatuation, hence മഴലുക f. i. തന്തതം മഴന്ന നീലനയനേ RC. also: മഴറുക to bewitch നീഴ് കണ്‍മഴറും തെളിമേന്‍ ചൊല്ലേ RC. — Hence: മഴററുക = മയററുക to fascinate ചാടുന്ന മീന

mūrdhā S. (മൂര്‍ത്തി 4 fr. മുററു?). The head, pate മൂ. പുകഞ്ഞു. prov. — Loc. മൂര്‍ദ്ധനി എറിഞ്ഞു AR. at his head. അചലമൂര്‍ധ്നി KR. on the top. മൂര്‍ദ്ധാവിങ്കല്‍ ഘ്രാണിച്ചു Sk. = ശിരസി മുകന്നു (parents their children).
