maδi. (മന്‍). 1. The mind; in Cpds. minded as ദുര്‍മ്മ., ക്രൂരമതികള്‍, നഷ്ടമതികള്‍ Sah. 2. understanding ഞാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിക്കു മതി പോരാ തേ ഉള്ളവന്‍; opinion, inclination ക്രൂരയായ മതി KR. (fem). 3. estimation. നിന്‍റെ മതിയും കൊതിയും കെടുവോളത്തിന്നു തിന്നുക satisfy thy appetite; taxes, esp. port dues V1. ഇറ ക്കുമ., ഏററുമ., കുത്തുമതി. f. i. അത്ര വെച്ചു ക ണ്ടാലും മതി പോരും KU. Tippu disgraced & persecuted them. മാ. ഇയന്നു Bhr. = മാന ത്തോടു courteously. മാനത്തിന്നു പായുക No. for honor's sake (cattle). 3. (മാ) measure = പ്ര മാണം, as മാഷാദിമാനം കണക്കു Nal. ചന്ദ്രമാ. calculation by the moon's motion. 4. prh. = മന്നം in വാനവര്‍ എല്ലാരും മാനിപ്പാനായി മാ നത്തു വന്നു നിറഞ്ഞു CG. (or മാനം I.) മാനക്കുറവു MR. dishonor, disgrace = അപ മാനം. മാനക്കേടു id. മാനം കെട്ടും പണം നേടിക്കൊ ണ്ടാല്‍ മാ. അപ്പണം പോക്കിക്കൊള്ളും prov. മാ. അനുഭവിക്ക TR. to suffer shameful treatment. മാനക്ഷയം S. id. നമ്മെ മാ. വരുത്തി TR. dishonored. മാനനം S. honoring. മാനനീയന്‍ S. honorable Nal. മാനപ്രാണത്തോടേ പോരിക TR. to escape without loss of honor or life. മാനഭംഗം S. disgrace ലജ്ജയും ലഘുത്വവും മാ' വും ഫലം Nal.

mūssaδụ (fr. മൂത്തതു q. v. & below it). A lower division of Brahmans = ഊരിലേ പ രിഷ 151 who have left the കര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കാധി ക്യം to others & with Parašu Rāma's sins have taken on themselves the secular power ഭൂ മിക്കാധിക്യം — Brahmans who practise surgery are ranking with them.
