(opp. ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങള്‍); കര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ ലൌ'ത്തി ന്നു ചെയ്യേണം Bhg. to please others, not for your own self. 3. honorable bearing, politeness of a perfect man of the world സ്ത്രീകളെ കൊന്നതു ലൌ. എന്നുണ്ടോ Anj. gentlemanly. ലൌ'മല്ലാതുള്ള വാക്കു PT. ലൌകികമാധുര്യം, ലൌ. വിട്ടു കയര്‍ത്തു പോയേന്‍ Nal. I grew impudent. ലൌകികാത്മനാ കനിഞ്ഞരുള്‍ ചെ യ്തു Bhr. condescendingly. 4. kind words, salutation ലൌ. കൂടാതുള്ള സല്‍ക്കാരങ്ങള്‍ PT. വ is next related to പ (വകു = പകു, വിഷഹാരി = പിടാരന്‍, തറവാടു fr. പാടു), ബ (വാലിയം = ബാല്യം, വതല്‍ = ബദല്‍), മ (മിന = വിന, മിഴുങ്ങുക & വി —, തിന്മാന്‍). Initial വ is sometimes the result of a lost ഉ (വാദ്ധ്യാന്‍, വാവു), sometimes it slides into ഒ (ഒല്ലാ = വല്ലാ, വണ്ണം, ശിവപുരം, ചോവരം); in composition it can be lost (വേണം, വരിക, വിടുക), or becomes യ (നെടുവിരിപ്പു, നെടിയിരിപ്പു). In several words it passes into ക (ചുവന്ന, ചുകന്ന; ചേ കം fr. സേവ) & vice versa (രാകുക, രാവുക). Of old it served to keep vowels asunder (അ വന്‍ = a + aǹ, അവിടേ, മിക്കവാറു).

lamḃam S. 1. langhanam S. 1. Passing over ന ദീല. 2. transgressing, exceeding ആജ്ഞാല. ചെയ്ക VyM. സത്യല. V1. perjury. ൦രംശ്വര പ്രകല്പിതം ല. ചെയ്ക Nal. to avoid one's fate. denV. ലംഘിക്ക 1. To pass over സിന്ധു വില്‍ സേതുവും ബന്ധിച്ചു ല'ച്ചു UR. ഹേമാദ്രി ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ ഓരോന്നേ ല'ച്ചു Nal. — fig. ദുഃഖാം ബുരാശിയും ല'ച്ചു പോന്നു നാം Nal. 2. to surpass ആകാശത്തെ ല'ച്ചു കാണാകുന്നു എഴു നിലമാടങ്ങള്‍ Nal. 2. to trespass കല്പന ല'ച്ചു നടക്ക TR.
