vāyu S. (വാ). 1. Wind, air വാ. വേഗം പൂണ്ട കുതിര AR. വാ. ഭഗവാന്‍ V1. the God of winds. 2. a vital air ദശവാ. (1. പ്രാണന്‍, ഹൃദി. 2. അപാനന്‍, ഗുദേ. 3. സമാനന്‍, നാ ഭി. 4. ഉദാനന്‍, കണ്ഠേ. 5. വ്യാനന്‍, സര്‍വ്വശരീ രവ്യാപ്തം; 5 ഉപവായുക്കള്‍ Brhmd.) വാ. വിന്‍ ചഞ്ചലം ഉണ്ടു, വാ. തളരുകയും കിടക്കരുതാ യ്കയും MM. breath suffering from a wound in the chest. അജീര്‍ണ്ണവാ. dyspepsia, കീഴ്വായു വിടുക (= അധോവാ.). 3. rheumatism etc. = വാതം, f. i. വാ. കോപിക്ക: മുട്ടുക med. എനിക്ക് അസാരം വാ. വിന്‍റെ ദണ്ഡമായി TR.; vu. വാ ശു, വാഴു, വാഷു ഇളകുക. വായുകോണ്‍ NW. (opp. അഗ്നികോണ്‍) Gan. വായുകോപം flatulency etc. Nid. വായുപ്പിഴ a sprain = ഉളുക്കു. വായുപുത്രന്‍ (1) AR. Hanumān; Bhīma. വായുമുട്ടല്‍ stoppage of breath. വായുവിന respiration and other actions of the ദശവായു; hence വ'ക്കാരന്‍ V1. a useless person. വായുസഞ്ചാരം V2. agony.

varuttam T. M. (T. വരുത്തുക to be in trouble, വറു & വരു T. C. Tu. poor). 1. Trouble, toil, affliction. 2. esp. sickness ൩ മാസമായി വ'ത്തില്‍ കിടക്കുന്നു, തടിക്ക് അ സാരം വ. vipraǹ S. (വിപ്). Inspired, a poet, Brahman വിപ്രജാതിയില്‍ വളര്‍ന്നു, ശോഭിക്കുന്ന വിപ്രേശ്വരന്മാര്‍ KU. വിപേന്ദ്രന്മാര്‍ AR. വി പ്രശാപം Nid. വിപ്രത CG. Brahmanity; also വിപ്രത്വം ല ഭിച്ചു Bhg., പ്രാപിച്ചു Brhmd. (Višvāmitra). (വി) വിപ്രമാണപരിചായി ചൊല്ലും കടം VyM. without documentary proof.

vayar̀ụ (T. വയിറു, C. ബസിരു fr. വയ T. C. Tu. to long for). 1. The belly, stomach അടിവ., കുടവ., വയററുനുന്പലം, — വേദന TR. വ. കടിക്ക, കരണ്ടുക = മാന്തുക (a pain), വ. കാ ച്ചല്‍ hunger. വയററിന്നു പോക; വ. ഇളക്കം, വ. ഇളക്കുക to purge. പരിഭ്രമത്തോടേ വ' ററില്‍ കൈവെച്ചു Bhr.
