annam (and അന്നല്‍ ?) Tdbh. ഹം സം A swan or goose, hence അരയന്നം. It is celebrated for its walk & as being able to separate milk mixed with water. പാലില്‍ കല ര്‍ന്നുളള നീരിനെ വേറിട്ടു പാല്‍ കുടിച്ചീടുന്നൊ രന്നം പോലെ CG. കാകന്‍ പറന്നു പുനര്‍ അ ന്നങ്ങള് പോയ വഴി പോകന്നപ്പോലെ HK. arayaǹ (= അരചന്‍) 1. kaṭṭa T. M. (C. Te. ഗഡ്ഡ fr. ഗഡു stout, thick). 1. Lump, mass, ചോരക്കട്ട coagulated blood. കട്ടവെക്ക, പിടിക്ക to concrete as തയിര്‍ etc. തീക്കട്ടകഴുകിയാല്‍ കരിക്കട്ട prov. 2. = മ ണ്‍കട്ട clod, sod. ഉരുട്ടുക ക., പെട്ടിക്ക. (for building). 3. clog, കട്ടച്ചെരിപ്പു Palg. = മെതിയടി. Hence: കട്ടക്കാര a thorny plant. കട്ടക്കാണം 1. the right of breaking the ground = തൂശിക്കാണം, കൊഴു അവകാശം. 2. a tenure of ricefields unfavorable to the cultivator, hence called കഷ്ടക്കാണം. കട്ടക്കിടാവു newborn infant തന്‍ ക. മായി തുഷ്ട യായ്നിന്നാള്‍ CG. അരയന്നക്ക. പോലെ RS. (see ചോരക്കുഞ്ഞു). കട്ടക്കോല്‍ instrument for breaking the clods after sowing, consisting of the handle, വ ടി, and the block, കട്ടക്കുട്ടി, കട്ടോടം. കട്ടങ്ങം So. tie on the neck of oxen. കട്ടപ്പാര a wooden spade. കട്ടറ (കട്ടുകറ) rust, ക. പിടിക്ക to rust.

puṇal (see പുനല്‍ & പുണരി) Water, a river നല്‍പ്പുണല്‍ക്കരത്തിട്ടമേല്‍ അരയന്ന ങ്ങള്‍ കളിക്കുന്നു KR. പുണലി Cal. a shell-fish in rivers = ഇളന്പക്ക.

rāǰasam S. (രജസ്സ്). The 2nd quality, ostentatiousness കേരളസന്ന്യാസികള്‍ രാ. പ്ര മാണിക്കുന്നു Auach. രാ. കര്‍മ്മമല്ലോ Bhg. (സ ത്വം = ജ്ഞാനം, താമസം = അജ്ഞാനം). രാജസക്കാരന്‍ ostentatious. (രാജ): രാജസൂയം a sacrifice performed by universal monarchs രാ'യജ്ഞാ പൂരിച്ചു CG. ൩൪ മാസംകൊണ്ട് ഒടുങ്ങുന്നൊരു രാ. Bhr 2. രാ. ചെയ്തു, രാ'യക്രതു കഴിക്ക Bhg. രാജസ്ഥാനം kingship; a palace, court. രാജഹംസം = അരയന്നം a flamingo. രാജാംഗം what constitutes a real king, land, people, revenues, etc. പുരാണമായിട്ടു നവാ വും രാജാങ്കവുമായി TR. (said of Nizam). രാജാജ്ഞ royal authority, രാ. യില്‍ തന്നേ ഇ രിക്കേണം VyM. an obedient subject. രാജാതിരാജര്‍ a sovereign കൊടകുരാ‍. TR. (fr. അധിരാജന്‍). രാജാധിപത്യം rule, രാ. വന്ന കൊല്ലം TrP.

hamsam S. (Tdbh. അന്നം II. 33., G. chën, L. anser). A goose, swan, considered as a divine bird, esp. രാജഹ. (അരയന്നം) Bhg. ഹംസന്‍ S. an accomplished devotee തീവ്രതര വൈരാഗ്യം അകതാരില്‍ പടര്‍ന്നവന്‍ ഹ. KeiN. a degree of Sanyāsis (പരമഹം സന്‍). ഹംസരഥന്‍ S. Brahma, as riding on ഹംസം Bhg. ഹംസസ്വരൂപന്‍ Anj. very spiritual മനമാ കുന്ന മണ്ഡപത്തില്‍ ഹംസസ്വരൂപിയായി AR. Bhg.
