(II. ഇരു) Darkness, blackness. ഇരുള്‍നിറം brown (loc.) — ഇരുള്‍ ചായല്‍ ജാ നകി, ഇരിളണികുഴലാള്‍ Rc. black haired. — ഇരുള്‍മയക്കം dusk. — obl. case ഇരുട്ടു (= ള്‍ത്തു). ഇരുള്‍ക, ണ്ടു to grow dark. ഇരുണ്ടകേശം KR. ഇരുള്‍ച cloudy weather = മങ്ങല്‍. — കണ്‍ ഇരുണ്ടു = കാഴ്ച പോയി V1. ഇരുട്ടുക to darken, obscure (loc.) ഇരുളര്‍ 'the black' a caste of jungle dwellers; also agrestic slaves. ഇരുളാന്‍ V1. a sparrow-hawk, see ഇറളന്‍.
