māǰụ T. aM. (C. masu, see മചകം). 1. Filth, spot. മാചറുതേര്‍ RC. spotless. 2. So. (C. Te. māsa, C. Tu. māye) the after-birth = മറു; മാ ശു B. also umbilical cord. (see മാച്ചു).

ma/?/akkuγa So. = മയക്കുക (fr. T. മഴു ങ്ങുക, C. Te. Tu. masaku to grow dim, blunt). 1. To beat, wash, cleanse. 2. to protract, delay, confound.

mēḍuγa No. (= മിടി, വേടുക). To knock, as with finger. മേടി നോക്കിയാല്‍ അറിയാം prov. to try whether hollow or full. ആണി കള്‍ മേടിമേടി (al. പോടി) PT. to drive in, strike V1. മേടി a piece of wood for striking gongs, a clapper (see മേട 4.), a tongue of iron = വാളം.
