ēlas, ഏലത്തു (= താഴ്) A waist ornament, containing silver coins (ഉറുക്കു) also ലേലസ്സ f. i. വെള്ളിത്തുറപ്പന്‍ ഏ. — ഏലസ്സുര്‍ക്കു, ക ഴുത്തില്‍ കെട്ടുന്ന ഏ. (Mpl.) വെള്ളിത്തുടരിന്മേല്‍ ൪ ഏ. MR. Kinds: തുടരേലസ്സ്, ചെണ്ടേലസ്സ്.

čeṇḍụ C. Te. T. M. (Beng. ഗെണ്ഡു) A cotton-ball, tassel; the tassel of a woman's marriage-string (താലി) dangling down her back (So. പൊടിപ്പൂ); വാളിനു ഉമ്മവും ചെ. ńēluγa (C. Tu. നേ —, C. ജോലു) To hang as an ornament, to be dejected, ഞേന്നു മരിക്ക = ഞാന്നു; കക്കുവാന്‍ പഠിച്ചാല്‍ ഞേലു വാന്‍ പഠിക്കെണം prov. v. a. ഞേത്തുക, better ഞേററുക To let dangle, as a ചെണ്ടു tassel. കുട്ടിയെ ഞേത്തി ക്കൊണ്ടു നടക്ക to carry negligently. മുണ്ടു ഞാ ത്തി (So.) or ഞേത്തി (No.) ഉടുക്ക to wear the cloth down to the ankles. ഞേററം, vu. — ത്തം ornamental hangings (= ഞാലി). ഞേറല്‍ No. = ഞാറല്‍ ഞൊങ്കു = ചൊങ്കു, 2. a crooked hand. ഞൊങ്ങണം see നൊ —.
