karmam S. (കര്‍, whence, L. carmen) 1. Act, action. (exclamation). ക. ഇല്ലാത്ത unlucky. ത നിക്കു ഭാഗ്യം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നതിന്നു ക. പോരാ Arb. his luck (as determined by the actions of past lives). ഇങ്ങനെ ക. നമുക്കെടോ SiPu. tēḍuγa T. M. (= തെണ്ടുക) 1. To seek, less used than തിരയുക, (മണ്ടി മറുനാടുതേടും Mud., ജ്ഞാനികള്‍ തേടും ദേവകള്‍ദേവന്‍ RC.); to pursue, punt, see തേട്ടം. 2. (Mpl.) to pray കദാവിനോടു തേടി TR., ഏറിയ പിഴ പൊറുതി തേടി, ആവശ്യത്തിനേ തേടി അള്ളാവോടു Ti. 3. to acquire, (take in hand) അഴല്‍ തേടായ്ക, ഈ തൊഴില്‍ തേടോല Bhr. വാടാത മുഖകാ ന്തി തേടുന്നു ചിലര്‍ VCh. കോപം തേടും runs into anger. ആനന്ദശീലം തേടും പൈങ്കിളി Nal.
