H. paṭālan, A battalion, regiment, army — പട്ടാളക്കാര്‍ etc. പട്ടാളിച്ചുപോക No. (പട്ട) = പോളിച്ചുപോക paddy, greens, etc. over-grown on account of too much shadow or manure, having leaves only but no fruit, (comp. പട്ടെക്ക).

(demons). ഒ ളിച്ചു ശിശുത്വവും പുളെച്ചു മനോമദേ SiPu. തുള്ളിപ്പുളെക്ക VCh. to swagger, strut. പുളെ ച്ചുള്ള വീരര്‍ വരാഭ്യാസങ്ങളും KR. haughty warriors. (പാപം 2, 646). കളിച്ചും പുളെച്ചും വളര്‍ന്നവന്‍, — ള്‍ No. = ആണിനും തൂണിന്‍ും അടങ്ങാത്തവള്‍ prov. തിന്നു പുളെച്ചവന്‍ (a stout, self-willed, loose man). 3. v. n. to yield richly നെല്ലു, പയറു, കുന്പളങ്ങ etc. പു ളെച്ചുപോയി No.; Palg. also പോളിച്ചു No.

pōḷa (T. pō/?/u, C. pōḷu to split). 1. The eyelid പോളക്കുരു a. med.; പുറന്പോള MC; മേലേപ്പോള ChS. 2. B. a clamp; പുറന്പോ an outer clamp. 3. = പൊക്കുളള bubble വെളള ത്തില്‍ പോ. വരുന്നു MR.; മനുഷ്യജീവിതം നീററിലേ പോളെക്കു സമം SiPu.; വെളളത്തില്‍ പോള പോലേ ഉളള കായം VCh. 4. the film of a plantain stem വാഴപ്പോള, so കരിന്പോള = — ന്പാ —; also a leaf of paper (= പോണ്ടി, പാ ളി) V2. 5. the fruit-stalk of a cocoanut with its calyx, of a plantain cluster ere branching off (കുലയുടെ പോള = കൊതുന്പു). 6. a water- plant ഇല — (or ഇര — ) Geodorum dilatatum; വെളളപ്പോ.
