(po.) to concede superiority. പാലഞ്ചും പുഞ്ചി രി CG. പാലഞ്ചും മൊഴിയാളെ Vet C. കാററഞ്ചും വേഗമോടെ Bhr. VN. അഞ്ചല്‍ and അച്ചാ awe, fear q. v. നെ ഞ്ചില്‍തഞ്ചിന ഒര്‍അഞ്ചല്‍ചഞ്ചലനം Gn P.

abaurušēyam S. Not of human origin. അ'യത്വം ഉണ്ടിതിന്നു Bhr. (i. e. വേദങ്ങള്‍ക്കു).

a 5. pron. That, yonder. (The corresponding pron. signifies this, as in അത്: അത്.) Hence: അവന്‍‍, അത്; അക്കര, അപ്പുറം, അപ്പോലെ (and അതുപോലെ). Before vowels അയ്യാള്‍ that man, അവ്വിടം that place. It is also used for the second person as അദ്ദേഹം that person, you (comp. അങ്ങു). II.

aṇuγuγa T. a M. To approach, അണുകികൊണ്ടാര്‍ pay.

araṇṇil The buttress tree (? = അഴിഞ്ഞില്‍).

adhi S. Above, upon, over (many Compds.)

abaharikka S. To rob, extort, purloin, വഹകള്‍, നിലം ഉപായരൂപേണ അ.. MR. acquire by fraud. മനസ്സിനെ അ.. Bhr. steal the heart. അപഹാരം S. taking away, robbery.
